My wife and I reside in a location outside of Whitby in North Yorkshire and we decided that we would like to have some form of ‘summer house’ built in the garden at the rear of our property. We came across Extra Rooms by scanning the internet and it certainly stood out as being the right sort of company we were looking for.
We spoke to David Fowler the company owner and arranged to meet up at his location in Nottingham. The bespoke buildings are built in a large adapted old farm building and on arrival the outside gives away no idea to the internal layout and organised methods of working. We were shown examples of various buildings which were being constructed and how we could chose the type, shape additions etc all with guidance from David.
We left knowing that we had found what we were looking for and were not disappointed when after several on line and telephone conversations our delightful and beautiful outdoor room was delivered and erected some time later.
All who we know have visited us since this time and all remark on how lovely and stunning this building is and we would recommend EXTRA ROOMS to all who are seeking something similar.
The garden layout required to be modified although at the time we only had a rough idea to what we wanted and we first contacted Rob of R.D.L. Landscapes, Scarborough. He came for an initial discussion and suggested we also contact an Imelda Malkin at Woodlands Garden Design, Filey. She proved to be invaluable and provided all sorts of ideas and suggestions the chosen ones of which were supplied by her on a coloured scaled drawing along with a summary catalogue of types of plants and other features.
Rob, then using the scaled drawing carried out all the necessary changes to the area which included new paving stones at different levels, adjacent flowers beds and a raised base for the new building.
We would also recommend the services of these two people as their work has provided the perfect area for our wonderful new building.
