Affordable, highly insulated, double glazed, bespoke garden offices, all year use

Immediately below, an extra rooms garden studio with sliding folding doors near Winchester, then below, shows the installation on site in Bishop`s Stortford, of a slightly larger building and teenager`s retreat, cum garden office (for later years).
It is followed by a photo demonstrating the strength and rigidity of our buildings, due to the usage of top quality materials and construction methods. This strength and integrity is what enables garden buildings from Extra Rooms to last so long and increase the value of your home by so much more than their own cost. If you tried a test like the one shown below, on many other garden offices, you would injure yourself, or worse, as they would collapse.
Floor deck is placed upon the piled foundation (as usual, installed 2 days before) and first wall panel is put into place, Shrekkie, our entertainments manager, now semi retired, came with us for a day.

In order to complete in one day, the jointing and repainting starts immediately the panels begin re-assembly as there is a lot of work to be done and it can only be achieved at all if the entire building is completed fully in the workshop prior to disassembly. This way everything fits properly, nothing is missed and little or nothing needs to be measured and cut.It is also essential that the team that builds it initially, also reassembles the extra room on site.

Having said this,in the picture below, the staining of the door beading should have been done before, it was in fact but not on all sides and as an eighth of an inch of the back of the beading is seen from the inside in this case, so it has to be stained on all sides. Slightly smaller beading would not need this so it is not always necessary. The only item not completely fitted in advance in this garden studio was the pilkington "K" double glazing to the sliding folding doors, and sure enough, this caused extra site work but fortunately, only a little, so we got away with it this time.

Half a ton of roof and then half a ton of men, sitting and standing on the front edge of a 3ft overhang.Only a garden room built to last can stand this sort of loading, and had we more staff, they would have joined them as this is nowhere near the limits of this extra rooms roof.
Half way through the afternoon on the day of installation. Can you see any bending of the top of the door fame above the doors? There is none. Extra rooms are screwed together by hand, not air-nailed like most of our competitors buildings. This Extra Room was 14K plus Vat, including foundation. The building footprint, ignoring all roof overhangs, at 11ft by15ft, gives 155sq ft, or 15.5sq metres. Another very useful and attractive extra room.

To see how this Extra Room was constructed initially in the workshop, and the sort of progress photos we upload to our website for our customers to see and check we are building their home offices as they wanted.
